Templates can no longer be loaded

Since yesterday I can unfortunately not load the templates via smarttemplate in any way when composing or answering emails

What Thunderbird version are you using?
External templates or from your account settings?

just as a quick workaround, can you disable Advanced Settings >> Miscellaneus >> Inject contents of <head>.

If it still doesn't work please send me your template file and any external files (other html files, css files, images) that you include in it for testing. You can send them to me directly via the support tab on ST settings!

I bet I can fix it quickly if I an reproduce the problem.

How do you load the template, ad hoc or from the list you have configured in Template files.

still wondering whether this comes from the template or from a configuration where the template handling is turned off for an account.

Anyway, let's try with a fresh version (this one is hardened against missing head sections / templates)

To try out this version, download the zip file and then drag it into Thunderbird Add-ons Manager (without extracting).
For users of screen readers: you can also install this via the tools button after the "Find more addons" search text. activate the button with Enter then chose the 3rd menu entry "install addon from file...". Then select the zip file to install.

Related bugfix #370 - unfortunately not quite right, got 2 reports yesterday about loading html files with full paths failing when included in an account template using a full path. I disabled 4.11.1 on ATN to avoid more damage, hope to get around to fixing this over the next days (currently on vacation).
