Confusion around helper function

Despite the closed issues on this topic, some students still found the instructions unclear. Would it be possible to clarify the role of the helper function and how this should be used?

@rb50 and I are mentors for Week 5 FAC13, we've created a branch with the updated instructions however cannot push as we do not have access rights to this repo.
We've changed the readme to add clarity to the instructions.

Is it possible for one of us to gain access rights to open a pull request?

Hi @njseeto 😃I recently gave permission for the workshop to be copied to the F&C GitHub account so there is a copy of the workshop here: https://github.com/foundersandcoders/mc-request-module-workshop. You should have permissions to make the changed you want through that one.

I was happy for changes to be made to this repo but I think the consensus was that they would be moved into the ownership of F&C.
