Introduction
Hi, I'm Devendra,
Computer Science undergraduate with a strong curiosity for building, learning, and contributing to meaningful software projects. I enjoy exploring how real-world systems are designed and how collaborative development shapes reliable and scalable solutions.
Educational Background
My academic journey has helped me build a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, while my self-learning efforts allow me to go beyond the classroom and experiment with real projects.
Technical Skills
I have hands-on experience with modern web development tools and workflows, including:
I continuously try to improve my problem-solving skills by building projects and reading other people’s code.
Experience & Learning Journey
I am still early in my professional journey and actively focused on self-development. Recently, I contributed to an open-source project (os-leaderboard) - [ Added a empty-state message UI ] and submitted a pull request. Although it has not yet been merged, the experience itself was incredibly motivating, it gave me confidence that I can understand real codebases and contribute meaningfully.
This journey has strengthened my interest in open source.
Interest in Google Summer of Code 2026
My primary motivation for GSoC 2026 is to deeply experience open-source collaboration and understand how software is built and maintained on a global scale. I want to:
GSoC feels like the perfect platform to grow both technically and professionally.
Seeking Guidance & Collaboration
I would be truly grateful to learn from experienced contributors and mentors who are willing to guide beginner contributors like me. I strongly believe that mentorship and collaboration accelerate learning.
At the same time, I encourage fellow beginners to come forward, discuss problems openly, and share doubts. Together, we can coordinate, learn, and resolve confusion as a community.
Closing Note
I approach GSoC 2026 with a positive mindset, patience, and a genuine desire to learn and contribute. I may still be at the beginning of my journey, but I am committed, curious, and ready to grow through open source.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction!
