Hi Praveen, fun sim. Do you mind sharing the Par_file and the output file? Also, when you say there are no wave or energy in the poro layer, do you see zeros in the output/job file, the seismograms, and/or the images? Cheers |

Hi Christina,
Thanks for your reply. Presently out of station and don't have access to
Par_file or other output files.
I was trying to simulate the explosion generated wave propagation in
layered snowpack and failure of buried weak snow layer.
Will share the files on 14th Nov once I am back home.
Cheers

Hi, I am trying to run a coupled acoustic - poroelastic simulation similar to one given in Example folder (Morency and Trimp, 2008).
I have taken air as fluid and underlying Snowpack as a poroelastic domain and assigned their properties in PAR file. Although the simulation runs successfully, there is no wave or energy propagation in the poroelastic later. Could it be because of large impedance mismatch, air K - 1d5, density-1.29, and for Snowpack Ks-10d9, Kfr-5d7, Mus-5d7 and density 927. I have followed exactly the example (Morency_Tromp 2008 acoustic _poroelastic example) and double checked the remaining all properties and could not find any mistakes.
Any suggestions would be of great help.
Thanks..
Praveen Srivastava
