Numeral Display

I feel like it's a stupid question to ask, but idk the purpose of NumeralDisplay.gd, is it the thing responsible for this or smth?

No. From what I can infer (Searching the entire project folder for the text string to find any references), it is completely unused, probably left over from some older point in development. The thing you're pointing out is just a matter of the font not having glyphs for lower case letters.

Huh, I felt that correctly, then.. but if this is not a script doing this, then do these glyphs exist in image fonts or what is even their source?

The weird number things seem to simply be some kind of fallback for when a font doesn't have a given character, its probably built into Godot. You can simply use the correct casing to avoid it. I can confirm NumeralDisplay.gd is a leftover, nothing used it so you can safely delete it.

I don't get it either but just to prove the point here's the same oddity in an entirely separate project. It seems like the numbers are hexadecimal value of the missing character since space is 0x20 in hex.
