The Building Editor has significant issues that make it difficult to use. One HUGE problem is that buildings created with the editor sometimes vanish after being placed on maps. When this happens, only the entities placed within the building remain visible, while the walls, floors, and ceilings vanish.
In addition, the editor itself is extremely unintuitive and inefficient to use. It requires a specific naming convention for textures to work properly. It would be a lot better if the editor allowed users to drag and drop any texture they want without additional constraints. Not only that, the whole workflow of the editor just doesn't make any sense. Just look at what you did for the Segments system in FPS Creator and use that! Segments were much more efficient and effective at creating buildings extremely quickly.
I think the big problem with the Building Editor is that it seems it was designed to create small buildings only. What if I wanted to create an entire game indoors? I would need to rely on the Building Editor but it's not at the point where I can use it to create an entire level.
Bonus Issues:
My suggestion: Go back to the Segment system in FPS Creator. Allow us to paint blocks one by one. With this system, sections of walls can be placed anywhere, and pieces of floor and ceiling can be placed anywhere. Allow me to delete specific "segments" of a floor or wall.
Has the building editor even been updated since it was released? This thing is crucial and is currently one of the only ways to create a building with doors and windows.
