It took a couple of seconds for the map fill to appear. One thought would be for the screen to appear blank until users make a selection and then use a loading bar while it's processing - we did this for the LA tool.
When I clicked on the DC tooltip, it didn't show the percent white as I would have expected (and as we indicated in the tooltop instructions)
I feel like the sparkline chart is still a bit difficult to intuitively interpret. I think showing the years on the x axis would help, and perhaps labeling the y axis? I basically looked at the big 38 and wondered if that was a label for DC or the indicator value.
When I click on DC, it still says Focused Geography:National below the subtitle
