Initial discussion of the transfer credit feature was started in #49. Since we're currently implementing the New Plan Creation Flow, I figured it's important to flush out how and where exactly the user will enter transfer credits into their degree plan.
Originally, the idea was to give users the option to add transfer credits in both onboarding & new plan creation. Here's what the Transfer Credit tool currently looks like.
However, I think we should remove the tool from both onboarding & New Plan Creation Flow. A better place for this tool would be in the CourseAudit section where users enter courses that they've already taken.
Then, in New Plan Creation Flow, there will be a yes/no question that prompts the user whether or not they want to apply their transfer credit. If they select yes, then they can select the specific credits they want to apply (with all credits selected as a default).
Additionally, there should be an option to add current/future transfer credits to their degree plan in the degree planning tool. For example, the user might take summer classes at community college or change the UTD credit that they get from an AP / IB score.
Please let me know what you're thoughts are on this.
