I am developing a block that displays SVG's potentially showing same SVG in multiple blocks. This block can also be used both when editing posts and templates. I want to reduce the page loading footprint by injecting the SVG markup globally and make the blocks reference them. I can utilize post meta to keep track of used SVG's when editing a post/page and then just use the_content hook. But what about the blocks within templates?
