I noticed that the repository doesn’t currently include a CONTRIBUTING.md file.
Adding one would make it easier for new contributors to understand how to get started and follow contribution guidelines.

Adding this file would help improve the contributor experience and maintain consistency across the WordPress ecosystem. for example: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/blob/trunk/CONTRIBUTING.md
