I've tried to setup a mautrix-telegram bridge on yunohost. The install seemed to work well and I'm able to send messages directly to the telegram bridge bot user and they respond to commands and show that the bot is successfully logged in to telegram.
The bot also joins a matrix room when invited, and sends a first message, but when I send messages in that room via
!tg help
or other variations I've tried it never responds (and in element, it says the message is not seen, which I wonder if its relevant).
I've tried making a public room and a private room, both without encryption.
Here is a screenshot of the successful communication directly with the bot user:
And here is a screenshot of successfully inviting the bot to a room, but it not responding to !tg commands:
I wonder if I'm missing something? Any help or ideas appreciated.

I sanity-checked by installing the mautrix-discord bot, and I do not see the same issue with the discord bot. After inviting it to a room, it does respond to messages prefaced with !discord
Sorry for the delay. I've tested in my production instance using Element Android client and the command seems to work fine for me, I do not have any specific configuration as far as I remember. Could it be related to the Element client you are using?
I know for example that there are issues with replies that I get from people that sometimes I only see a blank reply (from the Element Android client).

I also checked out https://docs.mau.fi/bridges/general/troubleshooting.html, but didn't see anything to try. I also wondered if I was experiencing this, if other users of mautrix_telegram_ynh might also have this issue.
