in part for other addons that might want to add their own similar thing using its own features
case in point: Ambrosium Lantern
Deep Aether adds a Jade Lantern
Ancient Aether adds an Ambrosium Lantern of its own
Aether: Redux adds a Sentrite Lantern

such features may need more complex planning and implementation as to avoid conflicts and/or missing recipes and potential unobtainable worldgen blocks when disabled
