It is a best practice to not run as the root user.
Pip is also complaining about installing the package as root.
#11 134.4 WARNING: Running pip as the 'root' user can result in broken permissions and conflicting behaviour with the system package manager.
I think something as simple as USER nfhl above the pip install would check all the boxes.
