Request for clarity on background processes for CC/OC agent integration

I've been trying react grab and while I think the core feature of driving an agent via the react grab selector is great, I've noticed background processes not getting cleaned up when I kill the server. This might just be a issue solely on my side, but I find myself a bit confused on the expected state of background processes.

Could someone provide a quick mermaid diagram or something that shows the relationship/lifecycle of the processes active processes when using the agent integration? It would help me a lot in debugging.

I have the same issue, it seems like at least react-grab-cursor just returns immediately and leaves the server running as a background process. On Linux you can kill it with lsof -ti :5567 | xargs kill as a temporary workaround (may work on MacOS not sure).

Looked into the code - this is actually by design in cli.ts:

spawn(process.execPath, [serverPath], {
  detached: true,
  stdio: "ignore",
}).unref();

The CLI intentionally starts the server as a detached background process and exits immediately. The issue is there's no way to stop it gracefully.

A few options to fix this:

1. Add --foreground flag so users can Ctrl+C to stop
2. Add a stop subcommand
3. Write a PID file for easier process management
