Building from source on Debian is a dependency nightmare. Possible to get some .deb packages built?

I tried to install this in MX linux 19 (debian buster), managed to compile both, but the plugin doesn't seem to be working:

not possible to change options in panel elements
after logging out and in again, crash and I'm sent back to login screen
