Grid container grows automatically in IE with auto-resize

Hello,

if using the auto-resize feature and the grid hasn't a fixed height (e.g. only min-height or a height in % is giving) then the container grows on every timeout (250ms) by 1 px in IE11. May older or newer Versions of the IE are affected.

@ECP-Black, I had this same issue and was able to solve it by giving my grid, or something wrapping my grid, an expliclity defined height (essentially a max of some kind).

.grid-wrap {
    height: 300px;
    width: 500px; 
}

If you have a height-context, you can safely say height: 100% and you'd be fine too. The issue comes into play with min-height, but no upper bounds.

In my case the offending grid is in a modal, so having a fixed height kind of defeats the purpose of auto-resize. Hilariously, max-height does limit the growth to the given value, but a non-Pinocchio version would still be best.

@danielostyn, I believe you could use a height-context approach as an alternative solution to max-height.

Another, probably cleaner approach, is not to use ui-grid-auto-resize and instead bind necessary event(s) yourself (modal resize, window resize, etc) and call gridApi.core.handleWindowResize();.
