Is there a way to count the number of objects in a bucket using OM itself?

Hello.
In the case of Recon, I understand that NSSummary calls getSummaryResponse > getTotalKeyCount on its own to utilize OM data and count the number of objects in the bucket. I confirmed that the reason for counting in Recon rather than OM or SCM is to avoid affecting performance.
If I want to expose the number of objects metric for each bucket using OM's Prometheus metrics, how can this be achieved?

OMBucketInfo already has usedNamespace field.
