Description
The amount of traffic displayed on the AvareX app screen is for a much smaller area than the legacy Avare app displayed.
Users transitioning from the legacy app to the new app are often confused with the lack of traffic showing on the new app, and think the new app isn't connecting to their ADSB transceiver, or that their ADSB is not working.
Different areas of the country have very different levels of traffic in the air, and high density traffic areas can become a problem with screen clutter, but in lower density traffic areas this is not a problem. Pilots who fly in these low density areas may want traffic from a larger area displayed for various reasons like viewing the traffic in a destination area further out than 10 miles to anticipate what they will be dealing with when entering that area, or following fellow pilot friends who may be flying to a common destination to see their en route progress when not in sight. At any rate, for what ever reason, being able to adjust the horizontal and vertical distance of traffic monitoring in the legacy app was something that many pilots enjoyed being able to do, and would like to see it available in the AvareX app as well.
