Slow downloading of packages in chroot

i discovered that installing packages inside chroot environment is horribly slow (40Kbps)

Maybe you should do some mirror adjustments before start to download.

ps. Thank you for bringing archlinux to my hc4 homecloud. I can switch from manjaro without compiling kernel and u-boot and DTB etc..

The mirror list is configured by default to use a balanced geolocation redirector as seen here:

## Geo-IP based mirror selection and load balancing
Server = http://mirror.archlinuxarm.org/$arch/$repo

I guess it doesn't works as well as expected due to maybe regional servers been bandwidth capped...
A solution could maybe be to uncomment the ParallelDownloads option on the pacman.conf file using sed to allow multiple downloads to be perform simultaneously. But if the supposedly load balanced all in one mirror decides to always return the same mirror for every download it would be a problem, some more fancy strategies are explained here https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Mirrors but I guess they would need some adjustments for archlinuxarm mirrors and these solutions should be toggle-able in case the generated image is going to be distributed for use in locations different from the person who generated them.

Also, did you built the image using the new qemu functionality from a x86_64 host? If that is the case it could also be that arm64 emulation is making pacman slow.

If you come with a solution I would be willing to merge it.
