You can't do that on fish, proper command is |
The installation instructions do not work for fish, because of this invalid redirection target error. Here's is the command that one is instructed to run to install atuin, found on the home page:
A similar line is also found in the first page of the docs:
Another similar line is also found in the README.md file:
(By the way, it's a bit concerning that the URLs don't match.) I propose changing it to:
This will work in Bash, Zsh, and Fish, and presumably other shells too. |

Ah, that makes sense. In that case, the correct equivalent for the Fish shell is this:

It's everywhere except the homepage right now. I'll need to rework it to allow for multiple options |
I've tried:
fish <(curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ellie/atuin/main/install.sh)
and
bash <(curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ellie/atuin/main/install.sh)
and the output is always:
fish: Invalid redirection target:
fish <(curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ellie/atuin/main/install.sh)
or
fish: Invalid redirection target:
bash <(curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ellie/atuin/main/install.sh)
(when i enter: bash <(curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ellie/atuin/main/install.sh))
OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) x86_64
Shell: fish 3.5.1
Terminal: konsole
