ACK support for aws custom resources

Hello,

I am looking to switch from SAM to ACK. There are a couple of custom resources in SAM. I am trying to find any recommended document to use ACK for AWS custom resources.
I am expecting a new k8s controller to be built for the aws custom resources. I would like to know if someone already did this and any common pitfalls to avoid.
