I wouldn't hold my breath, I don't think that this will happen anytime soon, if at all. Not sure how other contributers here think about it, but If someone wants to take on this, I would be willing to help, but I'm not gonna be the one who starts it :)

On a side note, I'm working on upgrading a, let's call it "spin-off" of this plugin, it's loosely based on parts of this plugins code and principles and has been used only for private projects in the past. You might be interested in it, however it will take a little until the first useable public release.

This was originally a direct port by me of a CakePHP 1 plugin, which has thankfully received support from others (ahem @ndm2 ) since I have not been very active in some time. I have not had a chance to do much Cake development recently, and won't have time to try to port this to CakePHP 3 for at least a little while. When I start working on my first CakePHP 3 project, hopefully in the near future, I may very well take the opportunity to update or rewrite this plugin if it has not been done already.

If someone else wants to fork this project and port it to CakePHP 3 in the meantime, that would be perfectly fine as well, and I will gladly approve a pull request for the changes. But it may be time to step back and think this project through based on all the changes that have gone into the last two major Cake versions. It might be time for a rewrite of this plugin, or at least a full refactoring of the code rather than just making the required changes to have it function in Cake 3.

I'm very interested to see what @ndm2 is cooking up, and it sounds like it might be worth waiting for the first public release of that plugin before putting too much effort into updating or rewriting this one.
