[1.10.2] Armor duplication using dummy

Putting armor on the dummy will drop it and equip it at the same time. You end with one item on the dummy itself and one dropped.

This duplication also happens when you don't have armor equipped on the dummy. If you place the dummy, then sneak-left click you will 90% of the time get 2 dummies.

2 Dummies? I was getting 4 when I dismantled it (no armour)

EDIT: With armour, I don't experience the armour dupe, but it doesn't affect the dummy duping

This issue also seems to appear on 1.12.2 . Any hope of getting it fixed?
