timeout and disconnects etc

This is perhaps a feature request and/or a question.

Are there any plans to add timeouts and/or check disconnects in the middle of a req/res cycle?

This is very important when a user is waiting for a confirmation/error after submitting a form etc.

It'd be nice to have separate callbacks defined for error and success (like Jquery.ajax).

Please let me know how I should go about doing it myself (in case you're not interested to work on it in the near future).

Any movement on this? It'd be great if the documentation could touch on these sorts of errors.
