spell check - other languages

At Chapter 3, if it is possible to configure the spell check language, it would be nice to say it somewhere. For example, how to change it to Portuguese language?

Other useful buttons in the R Markdown \emph{Source} pane's top bar include the \texttt{ABC} spell check icon and question mark icon, which gives you a Markdown syntax reference file in the Help pane.

Thanks for the suggestion. To do this go to Preferences then Spelling.

The menu Preferences is on mac. But despite what the documentation says, in my opensuse linux the menu label is Global Option. And we have click the option to download other dictionaries, to make them available.
