Seems to be failing to open on Steam OS (Arch based)

Unfortunately there is no error or anything, it just shows an icon on the taskbar without actually opening a window.
I haven't tested on any other arch based distros, but it's likely others will also have similar issues.

this works fine on steamos and other arch distros like cachyos in my testing, the logs are stored in ".local/share/com.cm-ss13.launcher/logs", i’d need anything from this to be able to debug further

Got the same issue here, running the launcher works, but connecting to the servers opens up a fully transparent window with only a black rectangle in it, running on: OS: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS x86_64

discord isnt a requirement for the game client to actually load (its not installed on my deck), were these logs from when you attempted to load a game, or just opening the launcher?

for reference, this is mine on steam deck (the launcher has obviously opened too to get to this point)

if you modify your launch.sh within the games directory to include:

export WEBKIT_DISABLE_SANDBOX_THIS_IS_DANGEROUS=1 # this is already sandboxed by the Steam Linux Runtime

does this change anything for you?

you can also try directly booting the launch script to see if it's an issue with the Steam Linux Runtime

i don't see any error (the discord is a WARNing, doesn't mean anything). are you launching through steam? you might want to launch steam with -console and observe any errors in the console, too

After a short delay the program actually closed when launched from the console, rather than just hanging.

I tried it again and the second time it just hung on "** (CM_Launcher:11402): WARNING **: 13:01:47.648: atk-bridge: get_device_events_reply: unknown signature" and then closed without the server fetch error.
