/auto flooding command history is annoying

Using /auto floods your command history with the command it's running, while pressing up to get the last command run and running that doesn't.

/auto flooding the command history like this is very annoying, and it seems weird that it doesn't behave more like when you run the last used command (as described above).

Can /auto be made to not flood command history like it does? If not or there's a specific reason why not please do tell me, I'm genuinely curious.

expected behavior for running any command via CLI over and over again, running the same cmd multiple times should not be logged in a different way imho
