I tested the swarm mode, but failed in maintenance. (always forget to change the IP to the manager node)

Suggestion

Create a cluster with the information of the container engine used.
The cluster can have one or more servers, and in the ui you can chose the server to be upgraded or downgraded to let you schedule maintenance in some worker or in the manager to don't have downtime in the deployment.
Make the deployment not use server but the cluster to get what server you need to execute the command like in the example.

$cluster->servers()->where('node_type', Server::MANAGER)->first();

Future

1. Provider to provision new servers
2. If is standalone docker change to docker swarm if a new server is added to the cluster
3. Automatic install, and join the cluster node
