SQLite configuration

We should take a look at the SQLite configuration parameters, and determine:

1. are there sensible defaults we should enable; and
2. what configuration parameters should be exposed for the user to set?

Part of the work is to do some reading and find out what configuration parameters are important and should be made available. I don't have time to do this at the moment. I appreciate your interest in the project but this is probably not a good issue for you if you are a relatively new developer.
