Attention! this page tracks compatibility for RimThreaded 2.X

Do not harass other modders about RimThreaded compatibility!

Most compatibility issues need to be solved on our end.


General Compatibility

  • You can find all tracked mod incompatibility issues here.
  • If a mod is not listed as incompatible, assume that it is compatible until proven otherwise.
  • Mods that alter World tick are not safe to use with RimThreaded.
  • XML mods are always safe to use with RimThreaded.
  • Experimental mods not released on the steam workshop should be considered incompatible.
  • Do not use incompatible mods even if there are no tracked issues.

Alters Tick Method (Method overlap with RimThreaded = harder to make compatible)

  • RocketMan - Performance Boost Mod

    Pawn dilation alters pawn tick method, which colides with RimThreaded

  • [D] Time Control

    Alters the game tick function which is the main function RimThreaded mutithreads, most likely this mod will never be compatible. Prevents caravans from moving. [???]

  • Rimworld of Magic

    Tracked Issues:
    It mostly work, #552 Open Mages from A Rimworld of Magic, when low on Mana and assigned to the Magic job category, with an uncompleted bill on the Magical Forge, will not do any other assigned jobs in any other job categories. #553 Open Shaman's Lightning Totems from A Rimworld of Magic crash the game. chaos mage: katon (ninja), chaos mage: ray of hope(light mage), chaos mages can use their chaos tradition spell to get 2 to 5 spells from other classes, these spells have been tested with their original classes, and they work just fine, they just 100% dont work if a chaos mage casts them.
