First thank you for the library. It's been very useful for us.
Most of our dev are working on Mac. We are now transitioning to local development instead of VM or docker to speed up development and other processes.
Trying to install this on Mac ends up with this error:

Is it possible to create MacOS compatible package?

Ahh I had this issue, assumed it was because I was running Python 3.11.
