Does it make sense for Fabric to ship a UI?

Fabric excels at providing patterns that can be utilized with multiple models via the fabric CLI. I have been using it for awhile and I love the set-up, including Obsidian and YouTube integrations.

To me, Fabric is:

• The go to place for prompts
• A one stop shop for accessing multiple models via API keys
• The best tool for interfacing with AI models in the terminal and saving data locally

The reason for questioning whether Fabric should ship a UI is:

• It doesn't seem like a core component (I'm referring to the Fabric Web App)
• It will be difficult to compete with Open WebUI
• I have seen several people make reference to trying to get their fabric patterns working with Open WebUI. This would seem like a much better use of resources and further consolidate Fabric and the go to place for patterns.

Interested to hear what anyone thinks.

Yes. I have tried it before. This is just my take on the UI
