Description
This is a bit out there, and I can see where being too strict on something like this could actually hinder something as personal as a marriage, but nonetheless, it could be beneficial to look closer into ones relationships. A few different ways to approach this are as follows:
- Although I neither agree with nor believe in prenuptial agreements, they are typically made with failure in mind. Something like a TCF (yes, telos context file, but maybe, total commitment framework), however, could define what a marital success would look like. This could help ensure the success of the marriage and family or prevent it from ever occurring in the first place since both parties would not be agreeable on their goals, lifestyles, wants, needs, etc. In this context, prevention can indeed be beneficial.
- Taking the assumption that a marriage is already in place, you could maintain the same structure, but make it less strict than a personal one would be (or maybe more?). Replacing personal goals for marital goals and possibly adding other sections like travel desires, communication, and conflict resolution are some general initial thoughts.
