Hi Devan. Stumbled across this project when playing with my new OS3 and thinking about Home Assistant integration. It looks like you were on firmware 2.1.5 and I've had to change a few things just to get it started. Namely, a lot of the my_get_args from the options don't exist on the new hardware - mostly concerning the screen.

But it seems like you've done an awesome job of getting the information off the OS and filing it away. Just that I don't see anything in terms of the more mundane stuff like actually turning on and off a station. Did you give up on the project or, perhaps, just not update GitHub with what you've been working on?

Got a little side-tracked with the birth of my 3rd child. It would be nice to get back on this and update it. I thought I had gotten past Get Options so I'll look around for this. Its warming up around here so maybe I can find an excuse :)

Oh, I just found it last night and was fighting it to get it to spit out anything. My opensprinkler 3 has a different body on it and display. Firmware 2.1.7 is also probably slightly different. I've really done nothing but comment out lines until I could get it to run at all.

I've got a trip coming up so I'll probably not do much over the next couple weeks, but I was hoping to build a platform for Home Assistant for it, based on your stuff. If it doesn't do any setting, I may just try to do that directly. I don't think I'll have a use for all the neato little options and stuff. Mostly looking for simple on/off and status. You've got status in spades.

You know, I spent some time with your code and it looks as if you might be coming from some other language. Keep in mind that I'm NOT a strong python developer, just that I don't know that much beyond it. In other words, I'm having a hard time following what you were doing enough to continue on with it in the same style.

It did seem like you were concentrating on getting as much of the API covered as possible. I'm really only interested in getting on, off and current status going so I can get something working in Home Assistant, rather than having a complete library. So, I started from scratch with it. I've got something basic up at https://github.com/dethpickle/python-opensprinkler. It works, but isn't packaged or documented yet. I'll get it at least packaged before I'll say anything about it on the HA list. Plus, I've got to get the corresponding platform built over there so it's useable.

I'm basing it considerably upon the stuff I had done to get the Digital Loggers relays working in HA and so am modeling after the package that was written for that.
