Previous zoom layer disappears while next zoomlevel loads

I pulled the main branch and when I ran the basic-cog example the previous zoom layers disappears while next zoomlevels loads.
It should probably stay until the next zoom is loaded?

Tested on main branch commitId f7b47bc

specs
Chrome 145.0.7632.160 on windows 11
nvidia rtx 3080, 64gb ddr5, amd9950x3d
