Language code not visible in the keyboard menu in Windows 11 #29

For languages not known to Windows, and thus registered upon installation, at least in Windows 11 the language code is empty, giving a blank spot in the keyboard menu:

This seems to not affect the actual use of the keyboard, but can be quite confusing for users.

This doesn't appear to be an issue in Windows 10:

It is an issue on Windows 11:

Note that in the above, SMA is also a Divvun keyboard. SMA however is a language offered by the system. My hunch is that Windows 11 is able to display language codes for languages it has its own support for. Will investigate further.
