Description

May be useful to add a reference to Managed.System.Drawing.

It’s an entirely managed drop-in replacement for System.Drawing.Common on .NET Core and .NET Framework. Works on Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android. Nice work but IMHO not quite expected to appear in Microsoft docs because,

• .NET BCL is open source and under a very permissive license, so if any 3rd party alternatives should be recommended, they should be available in a similar manner to avoid misleading readers.
• This new library is not open sourced as its repo is nowhere to be found under related organizations (like Six Labors).
• The NuGet package is under a much more restrictive license (not standard GPL as you add non-commercial clauses).
• Recommending alternatives can often lead to hard-to-handle tickets to Microsoft technical support systems (last time they recommended some SMTP replacement), so adding new recommendations should be really cautious.

Microsoft does recommend alternatives when needed, for example, the deprecated Oracle client bits. You can see that page (and related) doesn't even link to an Oracle product (and ODP.NET isn't open source, similar to yours).

Thanks. Fair enough. We are discussing internally whether to make it MIT but it's too soon at the moment since it's primarily used for our enterprise customers. The link is to a private repo and we just updated the nuspec to avoid the 404.
