@MohananRahul - can we have something like V Build? Something akin to Y build of BETA_JAVA branch. Will create a new branch for the same and will update here.

I have created the branch VALCO_PDOT_1 - All valtypes dev will be done here until the JEPS are targeted . @MohananRahul / @HannesWell , would like to have a V-build from this branch

A V-build should be possible and I can work towards an implementation. But since especially the computers used for testing are (some) utilized a lot, I suggest to only run builds there on demand. Would that be fine for you?
Additionally I assume that you need a special JDK on the verification build for that branch too. Should I create a PR, against VALCO_PDOT_1, for that too?

Thanks @HannesWell for volunteering for the same. Yes, the builds will be run only on demand - no plans for a periodic run like Y or I build.

We may have to update in case a new version becomes available. If you are able to get time, yes - please raise a PR. Else @MohananRahul had mentioned that he will be able to raise the PR early next week.

Furthermore I created a PR to use the latest Valhalla EA JDK in the VALCO_PDOT_1 branch:

Generally we should think about the clean-up strategy for V-builds, since they are not automatically cleaned up (yet). But I don't expect a great number of V-builds to happen and think that we can clean them up manually at our/your discretion?

Besides that, I think the preparation is complete.
