Description
I see the vscode-extension-telemetry npm package being included as dependency in a few built-ins. Also while having the Theia Electron Example running and moving around with my laptop, I recently noticed an exception in the backend log telling me that the telemetry servers were not reachable (I unfortunately did not preserve the trace at the time).
If confirmed, I think we probably want to find a way to disable telemetry without breaking the extension(s).
