What maintenance does this project need?

thanks for working on this project! We would really like to start experimenting with it, and see if it's a good fit for our workflows. However, the documentation is currently quite sparse and/or out of date. If you could update it and expand it to cover general ideas and concepts as well as the public API with some examples, that would be extremely helpful. Does not have to be hosted: even just some new markdown/rst files and scripts/notebooks under docs/ would do it.
