user.name gives me email

So, thought user.name will give me the name of the connected wordpress user. Cuz user.id gives me the id of that wordpress user. Instead I get the mail of that user.

It works on drupal but it's a very basic bit of code to retrieve the value in the uf name table & I guess it doesn't work on wordpress :-(
