Elementary 8 installed but almost all drivers in my laptop are missing

Hello all.
I own an ASUS X1500EA notebook and while I was able to install Elementary 8 in it, almost all drivers are now missing (and the most crucial one is the wifi one at this point). I went to the manufacturer site and found tones of recommended drivers for installation but - here is the catch - all of them are .EXE ones (obviously they don't work just as if in Windows). I'm a new user so I understand that this may be a silly question but, please, does anyone know how could I update my notebook under these circumstances?

Why do you need drivers? something is not working?

Basic functions of my laptop are failing. Wifi doesn't work at all. Mouse freezes constantly. The screen resolution was also affected. I had to plugin some cheap hardware to replace the missing attributes (ie. an USB Wifi adapter). But working like this is rather cumbersome for one simple reason - my notebook only has 3 USB ports, and I can't plugin everything I need all together. Besides, the main aspect behind a notebook is that I should be able to carry it around anywhere I go and expect it to work, but having to bring so many accessories everywhere I go defies this purpose (like, having to bring my TV set along my notebook is really a challenge). So, the answer is yes. Things aren't working. And since Elementary derives from Ubuntu I'm afraid that replacing the OS for another Linux Distribution (as some other forums answers suggested) will basically have the same outcome. Please, any ideas?

After the last update released by DEVs last night, my notebook's functions were restored. Everything is now working. Display resolution, mouse, wi-fi, bluetooth... Even the keyboard (which sometimes was freezing). I appreciate the effort, folks! Now, I don't know which exact update fragment addressed all the problems I had (nor if they were intended to me - which would be way too much pretentious, of course), but whatever their reasons were for the last updates, it worked for me!
