KDE apps installed via Appcenter can not save file

What Happened?

(Not sure if this is the place for this issue)

Installed Okular through the AppCenter. When I open a PDF with Okular, do some annotations and attempt to save it complains about not being able to save file to <<>>.

I've ticked all the permits in the Applications settings. Terminal shows these messages:

Steps to Reproduce

1. Installed Okular via Appcenter
2. Edited a PDF file
3. Tried to save the edits made to the file

Expected Behavior

Okular should be able to save the edits (it used to in OS 7)

Also happens with Kolourpaint (also installed via flatpak) which complains about "KIO work module" and "file protocol"

Any updates on this issue? It's pretty serious as it makes apps installed via Flathub, the recommended way, virtually unusable.

Almost one month and no progress? This is a major issue, particularly because this is how elementary recommends installing apps and the recommended way is incredibly broken

I have managed to trace and fix this issue; essentially the problematic Ubuntu's apparmor profile is causing all this, and can be disabled (which is done upstream, but has been re-enabled in elementary/default-settings#326).

As a workaround I use this:

sudo su # so that owner of files created in the next two commands is set to root
mkdir /etc/apparmor.d/disable/ # doesn't exist by default
ln -s /etc/apparmor.d/bwrap-userns-restrict /etc/apparmor.d/disable/
apparmor_parser -R /etc/apparmor.d/bwrap-userns-restrict
systemctl reboot

(This also fixes flathub/com.valvesoftware.Steam#1400)

Thanks for this workaround. A few points:

1. I did not need to create /etc/apparmor.d/disable, it was already there — elementary 8 installed today.
2. I did not need to reboot. The apparmor_parser command applies the changes immediately.

By the way, this issue was already fixed by elementary/default-settings#337, so there's no need for a workaround anymore.
