Service-business starter templates for local service companies

Proposal

Add first-party service-business templates for Node and Cloudflare to create-emdash.

The existing blog, marketing, and portfolio templates do not directly model the content required by local contractors and professional service companies. The proposed starter provides reusable collections and UI for:

• services and service areas
• projects with structured image galleries
• reviews and FAQs
• team members
• certificates, licenses, and partner logos
• business settings, lead calls-to-action, and LocalBusiness structured data

The Cloudflare variant is designed to work without Dynamic Worker Loaders, allowing sites that do not need sandboxed plugins to remain compatible with the Workers free tier.

Implementation

A working implementation is currently available in PR #1999. It adds both template variants, wires them into create-emdash, adds seed validation and scaffold smoke coverage, documents the templates, and includes a changeset.

Decision requested

Would maintainers approve this template category and its proposed content model? I am happy to split or reduce the PR scope if a smaller initial template is preferred.

Hi. Right now we're not accepting additional templates into the core. The best bet is to create the template in your own repo, and users can install it from there. We hope to add a directory for templates in the near future.
