Zoom does not work in desktop/web apps on live photos

Description

Click-to-zoom or pinch-to-zoom does not work on live photos in desktop/web applications.

All of my photos are live photos and I can't zoom in on any of them.

Could you tell me how to generate this problem again step by step with video(optional) and what you are using?

1. Open any photo taken on iPhone or any other phone that takes live photos.
2. Zoom is not available as a gesture, click on the image and there's no zoom button in the action bar.

This issue affects both desktop and web applications. Desktop application tested on MacOS and Debian. Web application tested on LibreWolf and Ungoogled Chromium.

@pashynskykh It is working fine. Could you check it once again like uploading again and zoom in. I have tested it on my Window 11 Laptop.

Sure! Adding a video with a photo, that I just took with my iPhone. This time this it was recorded on Debian.

I have more than 8k photos taken on the iPhone and I can't zoom on all of them from the desktop applications on MacOS and Debian. Zoom doesn't work from the web application either, regardless of browser.

I can reproduce this issue!

Suggested fixes and related improvements:

• Add zoom capabilities for live photos, the zoom button is not in the toolbar
• When viewing any photo if you press Control and scroll the image it should zoom (maybe just the scrolling should zoom already)
• When viewing any photo doing the pinch gesture on the touchpad or screen should trigger the zoom
• When zooming the Ctrl should increase or decrease the zoom instead of panning the view up or down.
