Hi Erfajo, first of all I just want to thank you for the new update that solved the problem in my last report.
This morning however I had a problem with this node while setting the properties for a new Wood Material

Infact for the species and the grade I specified a string with the value while for the other property, I have created the number as the node said and in the end I used another node to chose the type of construction.

But when I go to the Revit materials settings only the first 4 properties are created while the other ones remain at 0 and the construction didn't change:

This is quite strange! For example, PHY_MATERIAL_PARAM_TENSION_PARALLEL is a BuiltInParameter and it does exist in the Revit API. However, in my testing environment, when I create a material, the parameter is not added.

The same issue occurs with other BuiltInParameters that should be added by Revit but clearly are not.

I am certain that this is a new issue, as it has worked in earlier versions of Revit, however, it is failing in the Revit versions I have installed now... something must have changed along the way.

It seems that I cannot add a BuiltInParameter to a material, only Autodesk can do this. If a parameter is not already in use in a material, the only way to add values to it is by using the Material Editor inside Revit. Once values are added, it becomes possible to work with the material. Alternatively, you can obtain the material from libraries that include the usage of a given parameter, which then allows you to use Dynamo to edit the values.

I was fortunate that in Revit 2019, my material library had some default materials with all the necessary parameters. However, this does not seem to be the case anymore.

Why Autodesk has chosen to restrict Materials in this way is unclear, but it is not uncommon for them to be overly protective in areas where it doesn't make sense. This is typical of Autodesk, being occasionally annoying.

In other words, I'm afraid there is nothing I can do about these limitations. It is what it is.
