Windows Deleting exe Over and Over

I need Help.

I've read all the virus posts. Decided to try the newer versions and windows firewall immediately deletes the exe file. So i do the reverse process in defender. And then a day later it deletes it again. I'm not going to turn it off permanently and wondering if there is any workaround to get this as an exception. I tried to add to firewall rules, and it again says it's a trojan. Advice appreciated so we can continue to use this.

What worked for me was to build and install (and upgrade) the tool using pip, instead of using the pre-compiled .exe file.

mentioning #314 because the EXE is using a packager called Nuitka, thus the AV is flagging the program as a virus.
you can either whitelist the EXE or pack the program yourself, just what @thr-4 said.

Hey. Used ChatGPT to help exclude the exe from defender permanently(?) I guess.

Didn't work at first. But after having reversed the quarantine action a couple times in defender and sending the file back to its location in the directory it eventually stuck.

Apparently it is still closing automatically after a bit, unlike older versions. But so far the program itself seems to be surviving the AV.

Sorry yes. It's my partner's computer that I manage. Her report was that it disappears out of sight unlike the old version.

But yes, confirmed crashing and having to reopen. I've seen some other reports here if the same, where the process keeps running in task manager. I'd have to mess around to see if hers is like that too.

try to see if there is an event in the Event Viewer, under Applications.
right after the crash happens.
