Also, i don't know if this applies to arch only, but for running the game, i have to select this option to launch

otherwise the gui doesn't work at all and non-mouse keybinds won't work, I assume the default (that uses vulkan) breaks it

although helpful for making sure all the game needed libraries are compatible, atleast for me gives a huge performance drop, and more visual bugs related to shadows.
I am not aware of any incompatible library versions (except the older version of glew, witch is in the AUR) the game might need. I suggest not recommending the steam runtime env. on arch-based distros, as it might only be a issue on distros like debian or ubuntu, where the repos are not updated as frequently
