Hi all,

I built a new plugin called Today, focused on showing the current time, date and day progress in a clean and minimal layout optimized for e-paper displays

It is inspired by modern mobile widgets and designed to be simple, readable and easy to customize

The plugin displays the current time, date and daily progress in a simple visual structure designed for e-paper screens

It supports language selection, default or custom title, and customizable colors for the main text, secondary text and progress bar, while automatically following the system timezone and time format

Motivation

I wanted a simple and modern Today widget for InkyPi

The goal was to create something inspired by mobile widgets, focused on quick readability and minimal design, without requiring external services or complex setup

I would also consider adding the current temperature somewhere near the current time, as it seems to me they could fit together nicely.

Good idea, but it would change the focus. Today plugin is meant to be zero config and super simple
