Federated Wiki is strong in unfolding the implicit into explicit practice. Hence I implicitly supposed I could drag the new paragraph icon onto a desired location onto the canvas.
Clever idea. This would make the buttons more like tools one finds in graphic editors. Drag the new paragraph tool (button) to where you want the new paragraph.
It is surprising that the existing interface works as well as it does given that it was not designed in the conventional sense. Rather, as features were added to the earliest versions, the next most easily coded gesture was recruited to invoke the feature.
The journal and the associated buttons would work much better if they occupied the space next to an independently scrolling page. That was the vision (vision might be too strong a word) in the one mock-up made of the interface before coding began.

What even happens if I drag the forking flag (couldn't this be an actual fork from the fields into the void, can I rename it if shift-clicked?
When will I be able to reorganize the pages and even close them like in touch interface application drawers (to the bottom with action areas)?
